We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Service Coordinator to join our dynamic team at a leading plant hire company. This pivotal role involves managing and coordinating a team of service engineers, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services to our clients. As a Service Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:- Team Coordination: Scheduling and rolling out a team of service engineers to meet client needs efficiently.
- Job Prioritization: Assessing and prioritizing jobs to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Parts Management: Sourcing and organizing parts required for repairs and maintenance.
- Order Processing: Raising order numbers and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Communication: Acting as the primary point of contact for engineers, providing clear instructions and updates.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving any operational challenges that may arise.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the plant hire or related industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using scheduling and order management systems.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:- Coordinating the daily schedules of service engineers.
- Communicating with engineers to provide updates and resolve queries.
- Managing parts inventory and ensuring timely procurement.
- Prioritizing and assigning jobs based on urgency and client requirements.
- Raising order numbers and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 1-in-3 Saturday morning rota.
