Job Type: Full-Time | PermanentAn established and growing specialist fire systems business is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of fire detection and suppression projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and organised project professional looking to join a respected company operating within critical infrastructure and specialist environments.
The role will involve managing projects across fire alarms, gas suppression, watermist, aspirating systems and other specialist fire detection solutions.

The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate site activity, manage client relationships, oversee technical compliance and support the continued growth of the business through successful project delivery.
The position requires a hands-on and proactive individual with strong technical understanding and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fire detection and suppression projects from start to finish
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and site activity
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards and industry regulations
- Monitor project budgets, timelines and performance
- Carry out risk assessments and resolve project issues effectively
- Produce and maintain project documentation and reports
- Support estimation and technical project planning where required
- Conduct regular site visits across active projects
Requirements
Essential
- 3-5 years' experience as a Project Manager within fire systems, suppression or related industries
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Gas Suppression
- Watermist Systems
- Aspirating Detection Systems
- Understanding of relevant British Standards including:
- BS 5306
- BS 8433
- BS EN 15004
- BS 6266
- BS 5839
- BS 7671
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience using project management software
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel regularly to sites across the UK
Desirable
- Relevant project management certifications
- Experience within specialist or critical infrastructure environments
