HVAC CAD Technician

We are recruiting for an HVAC CAD Technician to join a growing Building Services contractor in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD professional with experience in Mechanical Building Services or HVAC projects who is looking to develop their career within a fast-growing and technically focused business.

The role will support the design, pre-construction and delivery teams, producing accurate technical drawings and managing drawing documentation across a range of Mechanical and HVAC projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing and maintaining technical drawings throughout the project lifecycle, from tender stage through to final as-fitted documentation.

Responsibilities include:

• Producing and updating Mechanical and HVAC drawings using AutoCAD
• Modifying proposed drawings to reflect installation and as-fitted requirements
• Managing drawing revisions throughout project delivery
• Coordinating subcontractor and supplier drawings
• Maintaining drawing registers and document control systems
• Supporting the production of O&M and CDM documentation
• Taking drawing briefs from clients, engineers and project teams
• Assisting with site surveys and asset register production
• Developing CAD libraries, dynamic blocks and drawing standards
• Supporting technical teams with equipment selections and specifications
• Working closely with pre-construction, project delivery and service teams

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a CAD role
• Experience working for a Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services contractor
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Experience producing Mechanical and HVAC drawings
• Understanding of ductwork, pipework and building services systems
• Experience managing drawing revisions and document control
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Full UK driving licence
