The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join our engineering team in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer with strong knowledge of gas, petrol, or diesel engines to play a key role in maintaining and optimising power generation installations across customer sites.
Working within a supportive and highly skilled team, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring maximum equipment performance and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on installations
Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance activities
Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably
Optimise operational performance to improve productivity and reduce downtime
Deliver excellent customer service while working on client sites
Complete all work in line with company safety standards and procedures
Participate in the on-call rota and respond to out-of-hours call-outs when required
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
ONC/D, NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds Level 2, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Studies, or a related discipline
Experience as a time-served technician within a mechanical engineering environment
A minimum of three years' relevant engineering experience
Strong knowledge of gas, petrol, or diesel engines
Good IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
A full UK driving licence
