My client is an established, well-known company within the hydraulic industry. With over 50 years trading history they specialise in providing a multi service model to their clients across the hydraulic sector – being able to design, manufacture, service and install hydraulic systems. Due to growth, they are now looking to as a hungry, driven Business Development Manager to their Sales team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities across the UK.

Role can be anywhere across the UK
£40,000 - £70,000 DOE –, Overtime, car, pension, mobile, and commission.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain pipeline aligned with strategic growth zones.
- Drive RFQ generation and conversion to orders from new markets.
- Contribute to revenue, bookings and ensure base growth.
- Establish and nurture long term relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Attend trade shows, industry events.
- Partner with various internal departments to find solutions based on clients needs.
- Support post sales follow up and life cycle opportunities.
- Develop proposals and negotiate contracts.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Over 5 years B2B experience in industrial/engineering sectors.
- Proven success in developing new markets and converting sales opportunities.
- Skilled in pricing, margins and building ROI cases.
- Comfortable negotiating high value contracts and managing long sales cycles.
- Experience in market mapping, trend analysis, and identifying opportunities.
- Using data to target potential opportunities.
- Experience in building relationships with engineers, procurement, key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Hungry and driven to learn and be successful.
- Full UK driving licence.
