Location: Stoke
Salary: Up to £70,000 - £85,000 + Excellent BenefitsThe Opportunity
Our client is a leading UK manufacturer specialising in bespoke vehicle conversions for the emergency services, defence and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager.
Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive, this is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the successful commercial delivery of multiple manufacturing projects from contract award through to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional looking to play a pivotal role within a growing, highly respected manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer contracts from project award through to successful completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification and in line with quality and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement and other key departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure materials and components are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Oversee Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring specifications, costs and margins are effectively managed.
- Monitor commercial performance through agreed KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive efficiencies across manufacturing and commercial processes.
- Ensure contractual obligations, commercial risks and project profitability are effectively managed.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Significant Commercial Contract Management experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- A proven track record of managing multiple live contracts simultaneously.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs, margins and contractual performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
- Experience working closely with manufacturing and production teams.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- A qualification in Business, Finance, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- Experience within automotive, vehicle conversion, engineering or a similar manufacturing sector would be highly desirable.
