Location: Arborfield
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with overtime available
Working Arrangement: Office-based with flexible/hybrid options
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Scenic Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of scenic projects within a fast-paced AV & Events environment. This is a hands-on role combining project management, creative design, technical planning and onsite delivery, working across everything from initial concepts and budgets through to fabrication, installation and de-rig.
You'll coordinate closely with designers, clients, internal Project Managers and external fabrication partners, ensuring every scenic element is delivered on time, within budget and to the required standard. With fabrication currently outsourced, you'll play an important role in managing those relationships while also helping develop the company's in-house scenic capability as the department grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage scenic projects end-to-end, from initial concept and design development through budgeting, procurement, fabrication and final onsite delivery.
- Manage project budgets and costs, while preparing production-ready artwork, large and small-format print files and technical drawings using Adobe Creative Cloud and CAD software.
- Coordinate external fabrication partners, ensuring quality, costs and timelines are managed effectively, while supporting the development of future in-house fabrication capabilities.
- Lead onsite scenic delivery, overseeing installation and de-rig while being comfortable getting hands-on with straightforward scenic builds and installations where required.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and wider technical teams to plan and deliver scenic elements as part of larger AV and event projects.
- Manage and maintain scenic stock within the warehouse, ensuring items such as bars, desks, plinths, tables and stock flats are organised, maintained and readily available for upcoming projects.
About You
- Proven experience working within an events production company or similar fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable end-to-end project management experience across scenic, events, exhibitions or other physical build projects.
- Confident managing project budgets, costs and external suppliers.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with experience preparing artwork for production.
- Proficient in CAD software, ideally SketchUp and/or Vectorworks.
