Area Sales Manager - Emergency Lighting

Location: East Anglia & Essex / Home Based / Field Based
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 + Bonus + Company Car
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

A specialist lighting business is looking for an ambitious sales professional to join its team and develop business across the East Anglia and Essex region.

This role would suit someone looking to step up into a specification or project sales position, particularly those with sales experience within electrical wholesale, lighting or a related technical sector. It would also be an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in developing a career within project and specification sales.

The role will involve building relationships across the electrical wholesale network, contractors, consultants and specifiers, identifying new project opportunities and promoting a specialist range of emergency lighting solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and develop relationships with electrical wholesalers and existing customers.
• Identify and develop new business and project opportunities across the region.
• Build relationships with contractors, consultants, specifiers and end users.
• Promote emergency lighting products and solutions into relevant projects and specifications.
• Support customers with product selection, project requirements and technical information.
• Attend customer meetings, site visits and project discussions.
• Work closely with internal teams to support opportunities through to completion.
• Deliver product presentations and customer training where required.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline information.
• Take responsibility for achieving sales and business development targets.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous sales or account management experience within electrical wholesale, lighting or a related industry.
• Looking to progress into specification or project sales.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Commercially driven with the ability to identify and develop opportunities.
• An interest in working with projects, specifications and technical solutions.
• Self-motivated and comfortable managing a field-based territory.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across East Anglia and Essex.
