1st Line IT Support Technician
Location: Greenwich, London
Salary: Around £30,000, depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pmAbout the Role
We are looking for a motivated 1st Line IT Support Technician to join a growing technical support team, providing hands-on IT support across multiple client sites in and around Greenwich.
This is a varied role where you will be responsible for resolving day-to-day technical issues, supporting users, maintaining IT equipment and helping ensure client systems remain reliable and operational.
Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient and effective 1st Line technical support to users.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
Provide support across Windows 11, Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Microsoft Server environments.
Install, configure and test new IT equipment, peripherals and software.
Diagnose faults across computers, networks and peripheral devices.
Assist with helpdesk and fault-reporting systems, ensuring tickets are kept up to date.
Maintain and support printers and other IT equipment.
Install or replace network cabling where required.
Monitor system performance and carry out preventative maintenance.
Liaise with external suppliers, contractors and technical teams when required.
Communicate technical issues and planned maintenance clearly to users.
Travel between various client sites as required.About You
We’re looking for someone who is technically minded, organised and enjoys working in a hands-on support environment.
You should have:
Good knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Server Operating Systems.
A working understanding of wired and wireless LAN technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to work calmly under pressure.
Good time-management and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
A hardworking, enthusiastic and flexible approach.
Azure AD knowledge would be advantageous.
Microsoft accreditation would be advantageous.
A full clean UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
