South Cheshire
£28,000 – £30,000 DOE plus flexi-time, annual business performance bonus, private healthcare, death in service critical illness cover, pension and 30 days holiday inclusive of statutory daysTHE ROLE
We’re recruiting for a Project CAD Coordinator to join a leading UK manufacturer specialising in pumps and pumping solutions.
This role focuses specifically on Adoptable Pumping Stations, taking quoted designs and turning them into detailed technical drawing packs, submitting designs for approval and managing amendments through to final sign-off.
It’s a varied role combining CAD, mechanical engineering, technical coordination and client support, making it ideal for someone who wants to develop their career within the pumping and water sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate detailed mechanical drawings using 2D AutoCAD
- Take quoted designs and develop them into technical drawing packs
- Submit drawings for approval and manage amendments through to final sign-off
- Interpret technical specifications and design requirements
- Provide technical support to site engineers
- Support clients with technical queries
- Liaise with internal teams, site teams and customers
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and O&M manuals
- Ensure drawings and documentation are accurate and completed within required timescales
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2D AutoCAD experience is essential, alongside:
- Experience generating mechanical engineering drawings
- Existing mechanical engineering experience
- Good knowledge of steelwork, pipe connections and valves
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce accurate technical drawings
- Understanding of mechanical and engineering principles
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence supporting both clients and site-based engineering teams
