Position – Plumbing & Heating Engineer
Location – Preston
Salary/Package - £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE), Van/Fuel Card, PPE/Tools, 1 in 6 Call out – with additional increment, & addition pay if called out. OT available – Paid at double time, & Career progression.
Purpose of the Role
We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join an established engineering team working across a variety of commercial and public-sector sites throughout the Northwest.
The successful candidate will undertake planned and reactive plumbing and heating works, including installation, servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding.
You will work across a varied client base, including healthcare, education, commercial, industrial and public-sector environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive plumbing and heating maintenance.
- Install, maintain and repair commercial plumbing systems.
- Work on hot and cold-water systems.
- Install and maintain heating systems and associated pipework.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnose plumbing and heating issues.
- Work on commercial plant rooms and heating equipment.
- Install and repair radiators, valves, pumps, cylinders and associated components.
- Carry out pipework installations and modifications.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Undertake minor installation and refurbishment projects.
- Complete testing, commissioning and relevant certification.
- Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.
- Complete job sheets, reports and other documentation accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
You must have or hold
- Recognised plumbing qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
- G3 Unvented
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and heating systems.
- Experience with hot and cold-water systems.
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on commercial sites and/or plant rooms.
- Full UK Licence
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
