Position: Commercial Electrician
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary/Package: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum + benefits, Company Van & Fuel Card, PPE & Tools, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Career Development & More
Purpose of the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Electrician to join a growing mechanical and electrical services business, working across a range of commercial and public-sector sites, including schools, universities, MOD facilities and other large organisations.
Working alongside the Electrical Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering electrical installation, maintenance, testing, inspection, fault finding and repair works. The role offers a varied workload with the opportunity to work independently while also supporting other members of the electrical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding
- Inspection and testing of electrical installations
- Working with lighting, distribution equipment and control systems
- Emergency lighting and fire equipment testing
- Responsive fault diagnosis and repair
- Completing job reports, certificates and CRM records
- Liaising professionally with clients and site teams
- Supporting apprentices and electricians' mates
- Working safely and efficiently across multiple sites
- Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota, approximately 1 in 5/6 weeks, with around £2,500 additional annual earning potential
You must have or hold
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or NVQ Level 3 Experienced Worker (2346-03) + AM2
- C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection
- Minimum 3 years' commercial electrical experience
- JIB Gold Card
- Strong knowledge of 18th Edition / IET Wiring Regulations
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and relevant legislation
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs/sites
