Location: The North
Salary: up to £43,000 DOE plus company vehicle, fuel card, door to door travel, phone, bonus, pension and 28 days holiday inclusive of statutory days with the option to buy moreI’m currently recruiting for a Field Manager – Water Treatment to join a growing operations team, where you’ll take responsibility for managing and supporting a team of field-based engineers and technicians.
The Role
As Field Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of field engineers and technicians, ensuring planned and reactive works are delivered efficiently, safely and to the required standards.
You’ll act as a key link between the field team, operations, clients and internal stakeholders, helping to resolve issues, improve performance and maintain excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Line-manage and support a team of field engineers/technicians, including performance management and regular reviews.
- Plan and allocate resources to meet operational and contractual requirements.
- Carry out regular site visits to monitor quality, safety and customer service standards.
- Ensure planned maintenance, remedial works and emergency callouts are completed within agreed timescales.
- Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Review and approve risk assessments, method statements and permits to work.
- Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Identify training requirements and support the ongoing development of engineers.
- Mentor team members to improve technical ability, safety awareness and customer service.
- Ensure job sheets, service reports and compliance documentation are completed accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
- Previous team management experience within water treatment or water hygiene.
- Strong technical knowledge of water treatment and water hygiene processes.
- A good understanding of HSG274, ACoP L8 and relevant health & safety requirements.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- The confidence to deal with clients, engineers and internal stakeholders.
- The ability to analyse performance and implement improvements.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and job management systems.
- Legionella Awareness / Responsible Person training.
- City & Guilds or equivalent water treatment qualifications would be desirable.
- A full UK driving licence.
