North

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to cover the north of England, selling excavator attachments. This is a mobile role with 4 days on the road and 1 day working from home. The successful candidate will be responsible for a mix of new business development and account management, with a competitive package including a £45k basic salary and £60k OTE, a company vehicle, 25 days holiday, laptop, phone, and any necessary training.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve targets and expand customer base
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing accounts
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments

Experience and Skill set required


  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the construction or heavy machinery industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
  • Knowledge of excavator attachments or similar products is advantageous
  • Full UK driving license

Day-to-Day


  • Travel to client sites and conduct face-to-face meetings
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations
  • Update CRM system with sales activities and customer information
  • Work from home to plan and strategize for upcoming sales activities
  • Attend regular sales meetings and training sessions
