Area Sales – Machine Tools
Package: £40,000 - £50,000 + Uncapped Commission (Typical OTE £80K with top performers earning significantly higher+)

The successful area sales manager will earn uncapped commission representing a strong portfolio of high quality machine tools and automation solutions. Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships within a new business oriented role whilst nurturing key accounts within the area.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on high-value capital equipment sales.
- Provide consultative sales support, tailoring solutions to meet customers' technical and production needs.
- Manage the full sales process, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and closing.
- Work closely with internal technical teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Cover a regional sales territory with manageable travel expectations and optional overnight stays.
Requirements:
- Proven sales experience in CNC machinery, automation, or machine tools.
- Strong technical understanding of precision engineering, manufacturing processes, or automation solutions.
- Excellent business development skills, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without the need for micromanagement.
- Ability to manage a consultative sales cycle, selling high-value, project-based solutions. AOV between £100,000 - £850,000.
- Based near Milton Keynes, Oxford, or surrounding areas, with flexibility for regional travel.
