Field Service Manager
£45,000 to £55,000 DOE
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm (flexibility available)
Office role (Brackley, Northants) with hybrid options

Starting as a family business 25 years ago, we exist to help companies move goods safely and efficiently and are now proudly leaders in the material handling industry. We are known for the design, supply and maintenance of material handling equipment to companies across the UK and provide unmatched service to our partners.
Due to the rapid growth of our team, we are looking for someone to join our success and take our team to the next level. As Field Service Manager you will be running the service team day to day and helping to grow the team with the business.
You will be responsible for leadership and management of a team of 10 and will have an instinctive knowledge of service and understand the important factors in customer satisfaction. You will take ownership of key measures such as wait days and engineer utilization and will have demonstratable experience in working with remote engineers and be able to build a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
Responsibilities
• Monitoring overall wait days and individual engineer wait days.
• Intervening as required to assist schedulers reduce wait days in problem areas.
• Monitoring overall and individual utilisation.
• Working at a team and individual level to improve utilisation and address problem areas.
• Monitoring profitability.
• Working with the team to maximise profit opportunities.
• Reducing costs where possible.
• Regular 121 contact with team members.
• Performance management
• Team development.
• Proactive nurturing of engineer contacts.
