Scenic Carpenter
South Manchester
£30,000 to £38,500
We’re looking for a skilled Scenic Carpenter to join our expanding staging and set team. You’ll work on-site and in our workshop to build, finish, and prepare scenic elements for live events. Ideal candidates will be hands-on, flexible, and experienced in scenic construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and install scenic elements for live events (UK and overseas)
- Construct and finish scenic pieces in the workshop
- Apply paint, vinyl, carpet, and other finishes
- Assist with equipment prep, stock control, and workshop organisation
- Load/unload vehicles and support other departments as needed
- Follow health & safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Proven carpentry and scenic construction experience
- Skilled in a range of construction methods and finishes
- Organised, reliable, and a team player
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexible with working hours (weekends/overtime required)
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
