My client is looking for a Junior/Graduate Production Engineer to join their production team. As a Junior Production Engineer, you will be tasked with supporting senior engineers in the design, development and implementation of engineering projects. You will work on a variety of projects both new product and product upgrades.
Job Title: Graduate Production/Junior Production Engineer
Location: Bentham (Lancaster)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 plus life assurance, private pension and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting senior engineers in design and development of engineering projects.
- Prepare technical documentation – including drawings, reports, procedures and specifications.
- Conduct research and collect date to support projects.
- Offer technical support to other company areas to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with other internal departments to ensure projects are complete within budget and in times.
- Participate in meetings and contribute ideas to make improvements on existing products or processes.
- Support engineering changes and best practises within department.
What We’re Looking For:
- 0-2 years’ experience within an engineering role.
- Engineering qualifications within manufacturing, processing, production would be ideal.
- Strong engineering understanding.
- Confident with Microsoft Office.
- Able to read and understand engineering documents (drawings, SOPs)
- Experience producing engineering models and drawings – SolidWorks ideally.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Able to work alone and in a team.
- Confident in problem solving and have a willingness to learn.
