Job Title: Production Engineer
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 plus life assurance, private pension and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days.

We’re looking for a hands-on and driven Process Engineer to join our engineering team at our Bentham facility.You'll support the full lifecycle of manufacturing and engineering projects — from design and testing through to production and process optimisation — while developing your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with the design, development, and optimisation of manufacturing processes, systems, and tooling.
- Participate in new product introductions and plant upgrade initiatives.
- Improve existing products and processes through lean manufacturing and value engineering principles.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support root cause analysis using tools like FMEA and data-driven analysis.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver improvements.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, test procedures, BOMs, work instructions).
- Create and edit engineering drawings and models using SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience a plus).
- Contribute to cost reduction and sustainability efforts by evaluating alternative materials or methods.
- Provide technical support across the company, from production to customer services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification.
- Experience working in a process engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing methods (injection moulding or extrusion is a bonus).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team.
