Job Title: Production Engineer

Location: Lancaster

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 plus life assurance, private pension and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days.

Ready to kick-start your engineering career and make a real impact from day one?
We’re looking for a hands-on and driven Process Engineer to join our engineering team at our Bentham facility.

You'll support the full lifecycle of manufacturing and engineering projects — from design and testing through to production and process optimisation — while developing your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist with the design, development, and optimisation of manufacturing processes, systems, and tooling.
  • Participate in new product introductions and plant upgrade initiatives.
  • Improve existing products and processes through lean manufacturing and value engineering principles.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support root cause analysis using tools like FMEA and data-driven analysis.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver improvements.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, test procedures, BOMs, work instructions).
  • Create and edit engineering drawings and models using SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience a plus).
  • Contribute to cost reduction and sustainability efforts by evaluating alternative materials or methods.
  • Provide technical support across the company, from production to customer services.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Experience working in a process engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing methods (injection moulding or extrusion is a bonus).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team.

Why Join Us?

  • Exposure to real-world engineering projects from day one.
  • Supportive environment with mentorship from experienced engineers.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  • Make tangible contributions to improving sustainability and efficiency.
  • Be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
