PROJECT MANAGER – LIVE EVENTS & PRODUCTION
Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Salary | South East LondonOur client, an established and rapidly expanding international event production specialist, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. Working across large-scale live events, technical production, and scenic design, this role offers the opportunity to deliver high-profile projects for major agencies and private event planners.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and has a proven background in event production from concept through to on-site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of event projects, following a defined critical path from initial brief through to completion
- Liaise with clients to understand objectives and present solutions that are creative, practical, safe, and budget-conscious
- Coordinate day-to-day communication between clients, internal teams, and suppliers
- Source, book, and manage freelance crew, technicians, and specialist contractors
- Oversee project delivery, including handling client-owned or subcontracted equipment when required
- Ensure subcontractor outputs meet agreed specifications, particularly during fabrication and production stages
- Produce and manage all Health & Safety requirements, documentation, and on-site compliance
- Maintain financial control throughout the project, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and budget
- Complete post-project reconciliation, invoicing, and payment follow-up
- Lead internal debriefs and share learnings to improve future projects
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience delivering large-scale live events, with solid understanding of technical and scenic disciplines
- Ability to manage all aspects of a project, even with a specialist background in one area
- Experience with virtual events advantageous but not essential
- Skilled in Google Drive, Microsoft 365, and familiar with rental management platforms such as HireHop (or similar)
- Confident managing complex budgets of £250k+
- Exceptional attention to detail, organised, proactive, and professional
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities
- Calm under pressure and flexible to evolving client needs
- Enthusiastic about new technology and industry innovation
- Willing to travel internationally, including extended periods where required
