Job Title: Water Hygiene Technician

Location: North East & Yorkshire (Regional Role)
Salary: Starting from £27,000 (DOE) + benefits

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Water Hygiene Technician to join our team, covering the North East and Yorkshire. The role involves carrying out planned water hygiene tasks to help our clients remain compliant with current legislation and best practice.

You will work across a variety of sites including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and residential premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems
• Flushing of little-used outlets
• Showerhead and tap cleaning, descaling, and disinfection
• Cold water storage tank inspections and cleans
• Water Sampling
• Completing accurate site records and reports
• Identifying non-compliances and reporting findings to management
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and customer service

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Water Hygiene Technician role (or similar)
• Good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidance
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to pass an enhanced DBS
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills

Desirable

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or Water Hygiene (or equivalent)
• Legionella awareness training
• Experience using digital reporting systems
