Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to cover the South East region. This role is heavily focused on new business development, targeting electrical contractors and electrical wholesalers, while also growing and maintaining existing key accounts.
The successful candidate will be a proven sales professional with strong industry contacts, a passion for opening new accounts, and the ability to convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Territory
Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, and surrounding Southern Home Counties.
Candidates must be based within the territory.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify, target, and win new business opportunities within electrical contractors and electrical wholesalers
Develop and execute a structured new business development strategy for the region
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
Manage and grow existing accounts to maximise sales potential
Promote ELD Lighting's full product range, including bespoke LED tape and profile solutions
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations where required
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting
Work closely with internal sales, technical, and logistics teams to ensure excellent customer experience
Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities
Key Requirements
Proven experience selling into electrical contractors and electrical wholesalers (essential)
Existing contacts within both sectors (essential)
Strong background in new business development and opening new accounts
Experience within LED lighting or electrical products preferred
Self-motivated, driven, and results-focused
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work autonomously while being part of a wider sales team
Full UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: £45,000 - £52,000 (dependent on experience)
Monthly bonus: £400 - £500, paid monthly
Company car: Hybrid company vehicle
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Pension: Standard company pension, enrolled after 3 months
