Location: Flexible / UK-based | Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + benefits (Total package circa 90k - £100K including car, expenses, private health, and travel)I am exclusively representing a leading player in the professional and industrial lighting sector, seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to develop and grow business across key markets: industry, education, healthcare, retail, and transportation.

The Role
As Sales Manager, you will take full ownership of sales activities, driving business growth in complex projects and fostering strong relationships with engineering firms, contractors, and electrical installers. You will manage the entire sales cycle, provide technical and commercial consultancy, and contribute directly to the company's growth strategy.Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage sales of professional and industrial lighting solutions
Drive growth in industrial facilities, schools, universities, hospitals, retail chains, and transportation hubs
Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering and design studios, contractors, system integrators, and electrical installers
Promote product specifications in tenders, public and private projects
Manage the complete sales cycle, from opportunity identification to negotiation and closing
Support clients with technical and commercial advice, working closely with internal teams
Monitor project pipelines, market trends, and competitor activities
Prepare sales forecasts and achieve assigned targets
Report weekly to senior management
Required Skills & Experience
Proven success as a Sales Manager in professional, industrial, or infrastructure lighting
Strong network within engineering firms, contractors, installers, and public/private sector stakeholders
Deep understanding of lighting solutions for industrial, educational, healthcare, retail, and transportation environments
Experience in tender-based and specification-led sales processes
Solid technical knowledge of lighting systems, controls, and regulations
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to manage long and complex sales cycles
Results-oriented mindset with a consultative selling approach
High level of autonomy, organisation, and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale or public infrastructure projects
Knowledge of lighting standards for healthcare, education, and transportation environments
Familiarity with sustainability, energy efficiency, and smart lighting systems
Background in B2B, public sector, or institutional sales
