Service Engineer
Forklift & Warehouse Equipment
Location: Disley / Chesterfield area
Role type: On-site & Field-basedWe are a well-established material handling company supplying and supporting forklift trucks and warehouse equipment to a wide range of customers. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our service team.
This role is primarily field-based, with some on-site work, and involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of approximately 25 trucks across the Disley / Chesterfield area.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment
- Working on a variety of machines including counterbalance forklifts, pallet trucks and reach trucks
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely
- Completing breakdowns, planned maintenance and inspections
- Representing the company professionally at customer sites
- Managing your workload independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Strong, hands-on experience working with forklift trucks
- Mechanical engineering background
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with Still or Linde equipment
Training
- Ongoing training and support is provided
- Manufacturer or product training available to develop skills across a wider range of equipment

- £36,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
