An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Technician to join a fast-growing Managed Service Provider that has doubled its support business over the past three years and has ambitious plans for further growth.

This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed an IT apprenticeship, or a Level 1 Technician ready to progress to Level 2, and is keen to develop their technical skills within a supportive, fast-paced MSP environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for supporting a diverse client base, ensuring IT systems run smoothly and delivering excellent customer service at all times. The position offers strong training, development, and progression opportunities within a collaborative and hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1st line support for hardware and software issues via phone, email, and face-to-face
Troubleshoot issues and resolve where possible, escalating to 3rd line when required
Work closely with the IT Manager and wider team to identify recurring issues and improve documentation
Accurately log, update, and manage tickets within the ticketing system
Continuously develop technical knowledge across supported technologies
Maintain a strong customer-focused approach

Skills & Experience:

Understanding of Windows domain environments (GPOs, NTFS, DNS, DHCP)
Experience with Active Directory administration and troubleshooting
Strong desktop/workstation support skills
Solid networking fundamentals (routers, switches, access points, protocols)
Exposure to virtualisation technologies
Experience with backup solutions
Basic to intermediate firewall configuration and management
