Role Overview
We are recruiting a Business Development Manager - Fire & Security to drive new business growth across fire and security systems, covering installation projects, small works/remedials, and maintenance & monitoring contracts.
This is a sales-focused role with responsibility for developing new client relationships, managing the sales pipeline, and converting opportunities into long-term, recurring revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new business across fire and security services
- Build and maintain a strong, accurate sales pipeline
- Forecast sales performance and track against targets
- Provide technical and commercial advice on compliant security solutions
- Generate opportunities across installation projects, small works, and maintenance contracts
- Prepare detailed proposals, specifications, and quotations
- Work closely with senior management and operational teams to validate opportunities
- Track conversion rates, tender performance, and lost opportunities
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Present pipeline, performance, and forecast data to senior stakeholders
Experience Required
- Proven experience in fire and security business development or technical sales
- Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and/or fire systems
- Ability to design, quote, and sell integrated security solutions
- Commercially aware with strong forecasting and reporting skills
- Confident communicator able to build long-term client relationships
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
