Position - Project Manager
Location - Remote / On-site
Salary/Package - £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE), Company Veh or Allowance, Laptop/Mobile, 33 days holiday including banks, Bonus & More
Client
The company is a UK healthcare engineering firm that designs critical ventilation systems and cleanroom solutions for hospitals, laboratories, and pharmaceutical facilities.
Purpose of the role
To manage and deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project delivery from design through installation to completion.
- Ensure engineering designs are available on time to meet procurement and installation programmes.
- Maintain and monitor project cost plans and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve project margins through procurement and supplier negotiation.
- Develop and maintain the project programme, ensuring works progress to schedule.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements, including preparation of Construction Phase Plans and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Submit valuations and manage cash flow in accordance with contract terms.
- Identify and manage variations, ensuring timely agreement with clients.
- Manage final accounts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate resources, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to meet project objectives.
- Maintain document control and ensure works follow the latest project information.
- Coordinate the submission of O&M manuals and as-built documentation.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to achieve project success.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and ISO quality standards.
- Develop knowledge of company products, services, and processes through training.
You must have or hold
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial engineering or contracting environment.
- Experience working in cleanrooms, laboratories, or healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of specialist HVAC installations.
- Familiarity with JCT 2016 Design & Build contracts.
- AutoCAD / Revit MEP knowledge desirable but not essential.
- Full UK Licence / DBS Checked
