Location: Midlands Based (Field-Based) | Frequent Travel into London
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Car Allowance + Overtime + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + BenefitsWe are working with a well-established Building Management Systems specialist who is looking to add an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to their growing engineering team.
This Midlands-based role involves frequent travel into London and will focus on commissioning, system optimisation and project delivery across a range of commercial and industrial buildings. It offers excellent long-term development opportunities within a growing BMS integrator delivering smart building solutions.
The successful BMS Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for commissioning BMS systems, ensuring installations are delivered to specification and operate efficiently to meet project and client requirements.
The Role
As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will work independently and alongside the wider engineering and project teams to commission new and upgraded BMS installations across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities include:
• Commissioning BMS / Building Controls systems across new build and upgrade projects
• Software engineering, point-to-point testing and system validation
• Integration and commissioning of HVAC plant including AHUs, boilers, chillers, pumps and ventilation systems
• Functional testing to ensure systems meet design specifications and operational requirements
• Identifying and resolving software, controller and field device issues during commissioning
• Supporting project managers and installation engineers to ensure smooth project delivery
• Producing commissioning documentation, reports and handover packs
• Client demonstrations and technical support during project handoverProjects typically cover high-rise residential, commercial offices, healthcare, education, industrial facilities and public sector buildings.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an engineer with strong BMS commissioning experience who is comfortable delivering projects across multiple sites.
Ideal experience:
• Experience commissioning BMS / Building Controls systems
• Knowledge of systems such as Tridium and/or Trend
• Experience with BMS software engineering and graphics development
• Strong understanding of HVAC plant and control strategies
• Ability to read electrical schematics, panel drawings and control descriptions
• Experience carrying out point-to-point testing and system validation
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Full UK driving licenceWhat’s on Offer
