Lead Video Technician
Battersea, London
£40,000 - £55,000The Role:
To lead all technical video production, being deeply involved in managing equipment specification, video equipment and technicians for corporate events.
Key duties include:
- Overseeing all video production for a diverse portfolio of live events, including corporate showcases, high-profile awards shows, dynamic exhibitions, and critical live streams.
- Approving equipment specifications and hire lists, ensuring cutting-edge and appropriate solutions for every live event project.
- Lead the set up, operation and configuration of video equipment on site including media servers, LED, video switching, cameras and screen management systems.
- Attending site visits and providing expert advice on complex video solutions for live events and pitches, including creating detailed video schematics tailored for dynamic environments.
- Upholding and exceeding high production standards, ensuring flawless execution from concept to delivery for every live event.
- Mentoring our skilled Video technicians and freelancers, both during prep and onsite at live event locations, fostering their growth and ensuring optimal performance.
- Overseeing the management, maintenance, and strategic upgrades of our extensive video equipment stock, including video switchers, screens, and cutting-edge technologies specifically used in live event environments.
- Assist with Video department budget management, ensure effective supplier collaboration, and spearhead long-term equipment acquisitions, all designed to support our expanding live events offering
Required skills and attributes:
- Strong working knowledge of industry-leading video and media systems including: Barco, Analog Way, Blackmagic Design, Unilumin, ROE, Sony, Panasonic, Blackmagic, Pixera, Disguise, Hippotizer
- 5+ years experience within audio visual with strong expertise in video.
- Willingness to work weekends and unsociable hours where required.
- Driving License preferred
- IPAF preferred
