Responsibilities
As a Mobile Plant Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, loading shovels, and dozers.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out.
• Providing excellent customer service when working on-site or liaising with clients.
• Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and ensure minimal downtime for machinery.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.
• A NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• A full UK driving license.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Day-to-Day
Your typical day as a Mobile Plant Engineer will involve:

• Traveling to client sites to carry out maintenance and repairs on heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnosing and fixing faults to ensure machinery is operational as quickly as possible.
• Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
• Communicating with clients to provide updates on work progress and any additional requirements.
• Keeping your company-provided van stocked with the necessary tools and parts.
