Position – Electrician
Industry - Commercial & Industrial
Location – Preston – To work the Northwest
Salary – £38,000 – £44,000 (DOE), Van/Fuel card, PPE & Tools, 32 days hols inc Banks, call out 1-10 with a retainer, Overtime available paid at double time, health perks & more.
Purpose of the role
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team, working across commercial and industrial sites throughout the Northwest such as Hospitals, Schools, Universities & more.
This is a field-based role involving installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and fault-finding on a variety of electrical systems, including large electrical panels and generators.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installation, maintenance, service, breakdown, repair, and fault-finding.
- Inspection, testing, and certification of electrical systems.
- Working on large electrical distribution panels and generator systems.
- Re-wiring commercial premisses
- Ensuring all work complies with current regulations and health & safety standards.
- Travelling to customer sites across the Northwest region.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience within commercial and industrial environments.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- BS 7671 18th Edition Amendment 2.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- ECS Gold Card.
- IPAF and/or PASMA.
- Experience with critical power or standby generation systems.
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
