Lighting Design Engineer
Location: West Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per weekOur client is a well-established and growing lighting manufacturer and distributor with a strong reputation within the commercial and domestic lighting sectors. They are seeking a Lighting Design Engineer to join their experienced design team based in West Yorkshire.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality lighting designs and specifications that meet customer requirements across a range of projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and coordinating lighting projects from concept through to completion.
- Producing professional lighting presentations and specifications for customers.
- Liaising with clients and internal departments to discuss project requirements, concepts, and alternative solutions.
- Preparing detailed internal and external lighting schemes using Relux and Dialux software.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant building regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborating with technical and design teams to deliver compliant and effective lighting solutions.
- Supporting project discussions and contributing ideas to improve design outcomes.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Lighting Design Engineer or similar role.
- LIA qualification.
- Experience using Relux, Dialux, and AutoCAD.
- A solid understanding of lighting design principles and specifications.
- Strong organisational, numerical, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- An Advanced LIA Certificate would be advantageous but is not essential.
