Up to circa £55,000 + pension + 28 days holiday incl bank + Career progressionAre you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a growing Building Services contractor working on exciting commercial and low-carbon projects?
Our client is an established engineering business with over 20 years of experience delivering mechanical and electrical solutions across the commercial, industrial, education, housing and public sectors. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to their team.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion, working closely with project managers, site teams and clients to deliver practical, high-quality engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing HVAC and mechanical building services systems
- Producing technical drawings, specifications and calculations
- Heat loss, heat gain and ventilation calculations
- Plant room, pipework and ductwork design
- Equipment selection including AHUs, boilers, chillers, ASHPs and GSHPs
- Carrying out site surveys and supporting projects through delivery
- Ensuring compliance with CIBSE guidelines and Building Regulations
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal project teams
What We're Looking For
- Experience within Mechanical Building Services design
- Strong HVAC design knowledge
- AutoCAD experience (Revit desirable)
- Good understanding of CIBSE standards and Building Regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
