Sales Manager - Industrial Applications
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Bonus: Annual bonus up to 30% of your salary.

Overview
My client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Sales Manager to join their Industrial Applications division. This is a field-based, standalone sales role, with responsibility for developing new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing key accounts across the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate will have experience within the industrial chemicals sector and possess a strong understanding of industrial applications, particularly lubrication, greases and HI&I markets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing SME with ambitious expansion plans and play a key role in its continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and secure new business opportunities, with approximately 70% of the role focused on business development and 30% dedicated to managing existing key accounts.
- Build long-term relationships with customers across a variety of industrial markets.
- Identify new opportunities for specialist raw materials within industrial applications.
- Manage your own sales territory independently while delivering against agreed KPIs.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities to support future business growth.
- Achieve customer engagement and sales activity targets.
- Travel throughout the UK and Ireland as required, with occasional visits to the head office in Kent.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in a technical sales or business development role within industrial chemicals or related markets.
- Knowledge or awareness of one or more of the following sectors:
- Lubrication
- Greases
- HI&I (Household, Industrial & Institutional)
- An understanding of these markets is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing a nationwide territory independently.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience selling specialist chemical raw materials or additives.
- Existing relationships within the industrial applications market.
- Experience working with distributors, manufacturers or formulators within the industrial chemicals sector.
