Product Designer - Bespoke Architectural Lighting

Are you a creative Product Designer with a passion for designing innovative, high-quality products?

We're looking for an experienced Product Designer to join a leading bespoke lighting manufacturer, creating unique lighting solutions for prestigious commercial, hospitality and architectural projects. Every project is different, giving you the opportunity to combine creativity with technical expertise to develop beautifully designed lighting products from concept through to final design.

Working alongside a collaborative design team, you'll help transform ideas into bespoke products that are both visually striking and technically robust.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of bespoke lighting projects, taking ownership of designs from initial concept through to detailed product development. You'll use your creativity and technical knowledge to deliver innovative solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design bespoke lighting products for commercial, hospitality and architectural applications
• Produce high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings
• Develop creative and practical design solutions to meet client and project requirements
• Select appropriate materials, finishes and components for each design
• Refine and develop concepts into production-ready designs
• Collaborate with internal teams throughout the design and development process
• Maintain accurate design documentation and drawing revisions
• Contribute ideas towards new product development and continuous design improvement

About You

• Previous experience in product design for manufactured products
• Proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
• Strong understanding of product development and design for manufacture
• Excellent attention to detail with strong creative and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interpret design briefs and develop innovative solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Desirable Experience

• Experience within the lighting industry or another design-led manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of architectural, commercial or decorative lighting products
• Understanding of materials, finishes and manufacturing methods
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Industrial Design or a related discipline
