We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Field Service Engineerto join a leading machine tool business supporting a high-end OEM customer with their machinery on site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong machine tool maintenance or service backgroundwho is confident working with complex, multi-axis CNC equipment and wants to represent a premium manufacturer in front of some of the UK's leading engineering companies.
The Role
You will primarily be working on 5-axis CNC machine tools, predominantly Hermlemachines equipped with Siemens 840D / 840D controls.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installation and commissioning of CNC machine tools
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Breakdown and fault-finding support both mechanically and electronically
- Working alongside customers and principal engineers during installations
- Working on HMI, diagnostic pages, exchange of servo drives.
- Perform geometry checks,checking run out of spindles using DTI's.
- Providing a professional, high-quality service to customers
