MIG/MAG Welder - Role Summary
Job Title: MIG/MAG Welder
Pay: Up to £20.00 per hour
Reporting To: Production Manager / Fabrication Manager
Working Hours
- Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am-12:30pm
- 37.5 hours per week

Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a MIG/MAG Welder within a fabrication, engineering, or heavy manufacturing environment.
- Strong practical MIG/MAG welding skills, with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with preparation, measuring, grinding, drilling, and finishing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
- Ability to safely use welding, fabrication, and lifting equipment where trained.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Main Duties
- MIG/MAG welding of fabricated components to the required specification.
- Preparing, aligning, and tack-welding components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Setting up and safely operating MIG/MAG welding and fabrication equipment.
- Carrying out preparation, grinding, drilling, and finishing work as required.
- Checking finished work for quality, accuracy, and conformity to specifications.
