£50,000 Basic – Banding of salary will increase to 57.5k after 2 years incrementally.

My client is a Distributor of 10 European food processing machinery brands solely to the UK. Originally based in Canada my client now operates worldwide supply machines to Fish, Meat & poultry factories on primary, secondary and further processing. Machines such as filleting, dicing, slicing, grinders, formers and packaging machines.

The role

• Installation, breakdown, Repair of checkweighers, metal detection & X-ray machines  
• Working on EOL packing machines  
• Able to read electrical drawings
• Fault finding on PLC’s
• Changing of bearing, belts & chains
• Experience of working on shafts
• Working on mechanical issues surrounding pulleys
• Work on machines up to 415 voltage- 3 phase
• Ability to run Ethernet cables
• Run diagnostics through HMI’s – inputs/outputs
• Good understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics
• Stay way from home 2/3 nights per week
• Ability to Cover the Uk
• Visiting sites such as fisheries, meat process, chicken houses ect

Qualifications & experience

• Preferable to be apprentice trained
• HNC/HND – electrical preferable
• Some for of elec qual (desirable)
• Experience of working in FMCG preferable to be Food or packaging or production machinery
