Location - Gatwick Airport
Salary/Package - £60,000 - £65,000 (Hybrid Working), Car/Van or Allowance, Full Card/Tech/PPE, Performance/Contract related Bonus, & more.
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a facilities Manager to oversee hard FM operations across airport lounges at five UK airports. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive facilities professional with strong management, technical and organisational skills to take responsibility for maintenance programmes, engineering teams, contractors and compliance.

The role will be predominantly office-based at Gatwick Airport, with hybrid working available. Ideally, 3 days office, 2 days field or home. You’ll have the autonomy to decide what’s best for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage hard FM services, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems and building fabric maintenance.
- Implement and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes across five airport locations using dedicated CAFM software.
- Coordinate daily workloads and activities for engineers across all sites.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and in-house engineering teams, ensuring effective service delivery.
- Oversee contractor performance, service contracts, tendering and supplier negotiations.
- Ensure statutory compliance, health and safety, fire safety and environmental standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular compliance checks of onsite documentation, folders and working practices.
- Deliver weekly toolbox talks and maintain effective communication with engineers and management.
- Support budgeting, cost forecasting, invoice management and energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Coordinate site relocations, refurbishments and space-planning requirements.
You must have or hold
- Proven facilities management experience, ideally within hard FM or building services.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), CAFM software and statutory compliance.
- Experience managing engineers, subcontractors and supply chains.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, cost control and supplier negotiation.
