Lift Engineer – Service & Installation

My client is looking for a qualified and experienced Lift Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who wants a varied field-based role covering lift servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, repair and installation.

We are looking for someone who knows the lift industry, is confident working independently on customer sites and takes pride in delivering high-quality engineering work.

This is an experienced position — you must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering and have proven experience within the lift industry.

The Role

As a Lift Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of service, maintenance and installation activities across customer sites.

Lift Engineer

£45,000 - £50,000 DOE, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, vehicle, pension, overtime.

OTE up to £70,000 per annum.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining lift systems
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Installing new lift systems and associated equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out fault-finding, repairs and component replacement
• Testing and commissioning lift equipment
• Identifying technical issues and resolving them efficiently
• Carrying out safety checks and ensuring equipment is operating correctly
• Working in accordance with relevant industry standards, regulations and company procedures
• Providing professional customer service while working on-site
• Completing service reports, job sheets and other relevant documentation
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and professionalism

What I am looking for:

• We are specifically looking for experienced Lift Engineers who can work confidently in a field-based environment.

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering
• Proven experience working as a Lift Engineer
• Experience in lift servicing and maintenance
• Experience with lift installation
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
• Good technical understanding of lift systems and components
• Ability to diagnose and resolve faults independently
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently at customer sites
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Professional approach when dealing with customers
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience Is Essential

You must have demonstrable experience within the lift industry and be confident undertaking service, maintenance, fault-finding, repair and installation work with minimal supervision.
