About the Company
We are a well‑established, independent fire security company with a turnover of £17.5m. We serve clients across all sectors throughout the UK, as well as a significant export market. Our team is positive, supportive, and sociable - we believe in giving people a job and letting them get on with it, without micro‑management. We are now looking for a talented Fire Systems Designer to join our growing design team of 25.

The Role
This is a pure design role - there is no selling involved. All enquiries come in through our digital platforms, and you will be responsible for producing designs for fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems across a wide range of projects. Contract values typically range from £10,000 up to £250,000. You will work on multiple projects across all sectors, including land and marine, as well as London, the wider UK, and export markets.

 The role involves interpreting client requirements, proposing technical solutions, and producing accurate designs. There are loose targets based on experience and sector, but the focus is on quality and teamwork rather than aggressive sales pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  Produce designs for fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.

  Interpret client requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.

Requirements

  Proven experience in fire systems design.

  Technical background in fire safety or a related engineering discipline.

  Engineers looking to move into a design role will be considered, but salary will reflect the level of design experience.

  Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to propose practical solutions.
