Service Engineer – Machine tool Agent
A34 - Biased towards Reading.
£37,000 – 45,000 Starting Salary (39-hour week) DOOR TO DOOR PAY.
+ 10K minimum overtime + annual bonus scheme, fully expensed VW or Skoda Superb Estate size, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Contributary Pension Stakeholder scheme, Product specific training given in Germany.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machine tool service engineer to enhance their skillset working a portfolio of high-end manufacturing solutions for a market leader.
The Role
- You will report to the management team made up of ex-service managers who will provide guidance to support a sensible approach to the weekly work schedule.
- Performing the installation and commissioning of machines to provide routine and preventative maintenance.
- You will provide breakdown support, fault diagnosis and repair to electrical and mechanical faults.
- You will exchange ball screws, fit spindles and perform geometric re-alignments.
- You will specialise in the predominantly the index machine, also learning the Hermle, SHW, Zimmermann, Burkhardt Weber, Waldrich Coburg machines.
- The role is electrically biased and the ideal candidate would be around a 60:40 split.
Requirements
- Confident in machine control operation to complete diagnostics.
- Sound mechanical knowledge of CNC machines required to perform mechanical tests, exchange ball screws, spindles and perform geometric alignments.
- Experience in Siemens 840D and/ or Heidenhain CNC controls preferred, but training is provided when necessary.
- Experience with Hermle, SHW, Zimmermann, Burkhardt-Weber, Waldrich-Coburg, and INDEX is preferential.
- A valid UK passport and full COVID vaccination is required as international travel is required for training purposes.
