Description

Solar PV Installer - Energy Solutions Provider (Full-Time)
Location: UK-wide (frequent travel & overnight stays required)
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 DOE + fully covered travel expenses

About the Company:
Our client is a well-established and fast-growing provider of sustainable energy technologies, delivering a range of decarbonisation solutions including solar PV, LED lighting, EV charging, heating systems, and air purification. With a strong focus on energy efficiency and long-term carbon reduction, they support a wide variety of clients across the UK, including public sector organisations.

The Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Solar PV Installer to join their expanding operations team. This role involves extensive travel and regular overnight stays, as installation projects are delivered at sites across the UK. While weekend work and overtime are not typically required, full mid-week flexibility is essential, including the possibility of occasional night work.

You'll be working alongside a skilled team to install fully operational solar PV systems safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work to project plans and installation drawings.
  • Install roof and ground-mounted PV systems and associated equipment.
  • Set up monitoring systems and ensure system functionality on completion.
  • Support with on-site problem solving and fault diagnosis.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and end users, ensuring a positive site experience.

What's Offered:

  • Salary £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
  • Use of your own vehicle with all expenses fully covered (fuel, overnight accommodation, and daily meal allowance).
  • Opportunity to work additional hours mid-week to enable earlier Friday finishes.
  • Projects often in the public sector, so prior experience in this area is advantageous.
  • Regular working away from home - candidates must be fully comfortable with UK-wide travel and overnight stays.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation.
  • Familiarity with micro and string inverters and monitoring systems.
  • Strong practical skills in general construction, roofing, and basic electrical work.
  • Track record of safe working practices and compliance with H&S regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to quality.
