Field Service Engineer - CNC Machines

Location: West Midlands / UK-wide travel

Salary: Circa £45,000 (DOE)

The role will involve the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of high-end CNC machine tools, including mills, lathes, multi-axis machines, bed mills and horizontal machining centres.

This is a UK-wide field-based position, with customers across the Midlands, Yorkshire, South Coast and further afield.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of CNC machine tools



• Servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs



• On-site fault-finding and diagnostics



• Mechanical repairs including spindles, bearings and ballscrews



• Machine levelling and alignment



• Basic electrical fault-finding



• Building strong relationships with customers and delivering reliable service

Requirements

• Experience working with CNC machine tools



• Strong mechanical engineering background



• Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Heidenhaincontrols



• Basic electrical fault-finding skills



• Installation, commissioning or field service experience preferred



• Comfortable working independently across customer sites

• Salary circa £45,000 depending on experience
