Got experience with booster pumps and pressure systems? Looking for a role where you can put your technical skills to work and develop your knowledge of water hygiene?
I'm recruiting for a Booster Pump Service Technician to join a growing team delivering water systems and water hygiene services across residential, commercial and specialist sites throughout the UK.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in pump servicing, plumbing or mechanical/electrical maintenance who wants to broaden their skill set and gain additional experience in water hygiene and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, maintaining and carrying out minor repairs to booster pump sets, pressure vessels and associated control panels.
- Diagnosing and resolving common mechanical and electrical faults, including pump failures, overheating and loss of pressure.
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits and checking pump operation, pressure vessel charge and overall system condition.
- Supporting water hygiene checks, including basic tank and system inspections and water sampling.
- Identifying and reporting water quality issues, sediment build-up, scale, missing filters and signs of stagnation.
- Completing accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Responding to reactive callouts and attending pump failures promptly and professionally.
You'll need:
- Experience servicing or repairing booster pumps, pressure sets or similar mechanical/electrical plant.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical and basic electrical systems.
- Ideally based in Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire and be willing to travel.
- A willingness to work towards relevant water hygiene qualifications, such as City & Guilds Legionella Control, where required.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload across multiple sites.
- A full UK driving licence.
