This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a variety of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loading shovels, dozers, and more. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including service reports and parts used.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Provide technical support and advice to colleagues and customers when required.
Qualifications
- NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Proven experience working with heavy plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loading shovels, and dozers.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Day-to-Day
- Conducting scheduled maintenance and servicing of plant machinery.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained and stored correctly.
- Collaborating with the team to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
- Keeping the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
